33 years old

I had a great 33rd birthday.

My parents invited Meg, the kids and myself out for dinner the day before my birthday. It was kind of for Meg's birthday, my birthday and Dad's birthday, good way to kill 3 birds with one stone.
We were to meet them at 5:30 and we got there at 5:28 so we thought we were ok, but if you know my parents(Dad) we must have been late.

There they are already inside and looking out the window, as if to suggest that we were late.

Mom gave me a card with some heart warming thoughts in it but the cool thing is she found a card that had a picture of what my very first cat (Moonshine) looked like.

Thanks Mom and Dad.

The next day After work D'Artanyan and I went out to the shed and had a great time playing games and well, just being guys. To get into our club house you have to know the secret knock.

Playing a game Mary taught everyone over the holidays.
Lots of root in Dar's beer.

Then for dinner we went to Backyard burgers it was "kids eat free" night so we only had to pay for Meg's and mine. I had the mushroom and swiss and it was gooood.

So thanks to everyone for making my birthday so great, I had a lot of fun ....oh and Meg thanks for the long John's they'll keep me warm at work, and Moo Moo and Papa for the thermal hoodie. My brother David called and we had some cool conversation, it's always a real treat when he calls because of his always on the go life it's hard for him to carve out time. So nice he was thinking of me.

Such a cool way to have fun. Loved your boys club house.. D'Artanyan will remember these times shared with his dad for ever..
oh.. ya.. dad and I were early, so you all wouldnt have to wait on us old folks. As the weather was cold we chose to wait inside, like a lot of other people who were waiting for others to arrive.Dad was checking the parking lot for all the Toyots, and I was watching to see I could spot your car.. my glasses do need to be changed.. becasue the Toyota man seen you first. ha.
You all were on time.. even with kids, its possible.. good for you..
I have had people over to our home for dinner, and they somehow never seem to arrive on time, sometimes as much as an hour late.. and they dont even realize they are late. And they only had to get themselves there, didnt even have kids. I have learned that those people you have to invite an hour before you want them there.. then everone will be there at the same time.
All in all sounds like you had a good 33rd year. mom
